Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data: email, username, display name, avatar, and the sign-in method you choose (email, Google or Apple). A phone number only if you add one, which appears on your pet's emergency card so a finder can reach you.
• Pet and health data you enter: pet profiles, vaccinations, medications, records, weight, feeding and walks. You type it. No vet and no model writes to it.
• Content you post: posts, stories, comments, messages, reviews and reports. Public content is moderated before it is shown to anyone else.
• Approximate location: rounded to about a kilometre, used for nearby clinics, lost pet alerts, local events and meetup distance bands. Precise location is used only while you are recording a walk with the app open, and other people never see coordinates.
• Usage data: which posts you view and engage with, so your feed can be ranked, and outbound taps on shop listings.

How we use it

To run the service you signed up for: your feed, reminders, the health record, messages and the shop directory. AI features (content moderation, the health triage assistant, image descriptions) send only the content needed for that feature to our model provider, and that content is never sold.

Sharing

We share data with the infrastructure providers that run PawArcadia: cloud hosting, object storage, email, push notifications, the AI model provider, and Google for maps and clinic data. They process it on our behalf. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Photos and metadata

Images are re-encoded on your phone before they are uploaded, which strips EXIF metadata including any GPS tag the camera wrote.

Your rights

From your profile you can export everything you created as a JSON file, and delete your account. Deletion removes your pets, posts, media, messages, reminders, walks and reviews after a 30 day grace period, during which logging in cancels it. After that it is gone and we cannot restore it.

Children

PawArcadia is not for children under 13. The meetup dating intent requires a date of birth showing 18 or over.
